KEEPING TABLE
LINENS CLEAN
Most people believe that the best way to remedy a stain in their table
linens is to try and get it out on the spot. However, home remedies and
prompt stain removal attempts are a big mistake, and make it much harder
for us to get the stains out professionaly.
We have come up with some "tabletop tips" that will help your
linens to look like new at your next family get together.
1. Blot stains with a clean white cloth. NEVER rub- rubbing can abrade
the fibers and damage the finish and any optical brightners that the manufacturer
may have used.
2. Don't try home remedies- grease stains, coffee stains, food dyes, etc.
all react differently to different spot removal agents. The experts at
the New York School of Drycleaning and the NCA(National Cleaners Association)
say that there is no "one size fits all" stain remover, and the
risk of setting a stain by using the wrong approach outweighs the possible
benefits.
3. Don't wait- bringing us your table linens for prompt care increases
the chances of successful stain removal.
4. At your next get together, don't fret if a drink spills on your favorite
table linen- Leave the worrying to us!
